This year's oration will be given by Professor Rolf Zinkernagel, Nobel Laureate and Professor Emeritus of Experimental Immunology, University of Zurich.
Professor Zinkernagel was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1996 with his colleague Peter C. Doherty for their discoveries concerning "the specificity of the cell mediated immune defence".
