Dr Peter Vardy will present 'The Abrahamic Religions: exploring common ground' on Friday 13 August, 5pm in the Fox Lecture Theatre, followed by Iftar (breaking of the fast).

The need to build understanding between different religious traditions is increasingly being felt in today's globalised world. What role different communities can play in this respect is attracting attention. The lecture will focus on the common ground between Islam and other Abrahamic religions.

Dr Peter Vardy, vice-principal of Heythrop College, University of London, holds a Masters Degree in Theology and a PhD from Kings College London. He has authored a number of books on the role of religion in the lives of people. Committed to engaging youth, he regularly visits Australia and New Zealand for training programs. Dr Vardy is currently visiting Australia as a guest of Wombat Education.
