On the Wednesday of Environment Week, the UWA Guild Environment Department is hosting an interactive forum on our response to climate change at a national and international level.
The forum will be held from 1-2pm on Wednesday the 11th of August, at Engineering Lecture Theatre 1.
For students attending the forum, we're providing a free lunch outside the venue from 12.30 - 1pm. It will be an organic food stall, which will include sweet and savoury croissants and drinks. The Renewable Energy Vehicle Projects' cars will also be on display.
We have a blockbuster panel, including:
Peter Newman - Professor of Sustainability at Curtin, co-author of the book 'Resilient Cities: Responding to Peak Oil and Climate Change, member of the Board of Infrastructure Australia
Sharon Mascher - Associate Professor in Law @ UWA, teaches climate change law & environmental law
David Hodgkinson - Associate Professor in Law @ UWA, co-author of Global Climate Change: Australian Law and Policy
James Trevelyan - Winthrop Professor in Engineering @ UWA
Tim Barling - Secretary, Sustainable Energy Now
