UWA Business School Free Public Lecture : Electronic Business and Society Forum Other events...
More Australians than ever volunteer and the online world offers new and varied ways to donate one’s time and expertise.

Come and be inspired when a panel of high-profile leaders from not-for-profit organisations (and one for-profit organisation) share their tales and the passion that drives them to volunteer. The University of Western Australia will host a public forum on Thursday 5 August when the Electronic Business class opens its doors to the public.

In an exciting, first of its kind initiative, UWA students in a postgraduate Electronic Business unit will collaborate with four non-profit organisations to manage over $500,000 annually in online advertising and other eBusiness tools. In addition, this unit welcomes anyone to participate in the initiative.

James Lush from ABC Local Radio will moderate the forum. Speakers will include Michael Malone (CEO of iinet), John Knowles (CEO of Good Samaritan Industries), Dushan Jeyabalan (Opportunity International), Stephen Langsford (CEO of Quickflix), Toni Stampalija (The Hunger Project) and a representative from either Google or YouTube.

The forum will be followed by networking, non-alcoholic drinks and nibbles.

Registration for this event is not required.
