After presenting a fiction entitled "The Story of the King
and the Mathematician", composed in a form for a play, I will introduce two puzzles and their graph theoretical models. One of these two puzzles has applications in chemistry, and I will generalize it in various ways to be used as preventative measures for a probable coup d'etat during the course of transferring the capital city of the
kingdom from one island to another. In order to solve each of these infinitely many puzzles I need to find the values of a few parameters and to solve numerous mathematical problems some of which will be presented in the talk.
This talk will be accessible to a general audience and students are especially invited to attend.
