The brass ensembles of UWA and the WAAPA unite with principal brass players of the WASO and staff of UWA and WAAPA in a special event to offer a dynamic performance of brass masterpieces. The music of this concert is selected to match the impressive grandeur of the newly refurbished St Mary's Cathedral.
Antiphonal music of Giovanni Gabrieli; the cantabile brass tones of Bach chorales; and Handel's Royal Fireworks Music all will sparkle with brilliance, resonating around the Cathedral. The performance culminates in a massed ensemble presenting a virtuosic brass arrangement of Mussorgsky's famous Pictures at an Exhibition.
