The Business School, WestNet Infrastructure Group and the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics invite you to a public panel discussion addressing the key issues in meeting Western Australia’s rojected demand in transport infrastructure over the next decade.
The discussion will include: a snap shot of major projects in WA: oil and gas, SWIS and NWIS, rail and port infrastructure; the international standards driving best practice in infrastructure management, such as PAS55; infrastructure reliability and efficiency; infrastructure life cycle and cost management; emerging challenges in building and sustaining human capability to utilise infrastructure effectively; the role of human and organisation design factors in determining infrastructure reliability; and examination of social dimensions in transportation management.
Moderated by Dr Doina Olaru, Lecturer in Management and Organisations, UWA Business School, the panel members include:
John Fischer – Executive Director Transport Policy and Planning, Department of Transport Western Australia
John Cleland – Chief Executive Officer, WestNet Infrastructure Group
Dr Melinda Hodkiewicz – Discipline Group Leader for the Engineering Asset Management (EAM) Program, UWA
