TEACHING & LEARNING MONTH: Teaching Information Literacy Online at the UWA Library
|
|
The Library employs a range of different approaches to user education and teaching information literacy (IL) – including face to face and online. In recent years the Library has significantly developed online teaching and learning initiatives. This session will cover these new online initiatives in particular:
•“Answering Clinical Questions” (ACQ), designed to establish a common approach to evidence based practice in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry;
•“The Research Journey” - The first for Post Graduate Research - designed to support online scholarly literacy amongst post-graduate students in all disciplines (developed jointly with the Graduate Research School.)
This session will also cover how the Library is approaching IL under the new course structure through its review of Introductory Research and Information Skills (IRIS).
