Good teaching never changes!

Could a good teacher of 50 years ago survive in the today's classroom environment? Are there constants that determine what good teaching is or must teachers adapt to a changing demographic and societal pressures and demands?

In what promises to be a lively debate the student team will argue the affirmative - that good teaching never changes - while the staff team will argue that it is necessary to "adapt or die" - metaphorically that is.
