2010 is the bicentenary of the births of both Robert Schumann and FrÃ©dÃ©ric Chopin, two composers to whom Piers feels a close affinity. This program explores early Schumann, full of fantasy and passion, and the mature Chopin, which is noble, sorrowful and serenely dreamy.
