The global distribution of remote work sites and availability of sophisticated communications technology has resulted in a new way of working in a virtual world. Are we more productive in these new work arrangements? Is our work still as meaningful to us? Are we able to establish healthy work relationships using technology? Professor Cristina Gibson, a world renowned expert on virtual and multicultural work practices, will share recent research and practical techniques that help build effective and sustainable connections among geographically distributed, culturally diverse, and electronically enabled workers.

Professor Gibson is the Winthrop Professor at the UWA Business School, visiting this year from her post as Dean’s Professor of Organisation and Management at the University of California, Irvine.
