Professor Felix JF Herth is an expert in the field of interventional pulmonology and has a distinguished record of international achievement. A pioneer in the subspecialised field of endobronchial ultrasound, Professor Herth has led the way in establishing new endoscopic techniques including narrow-band imaging, endocytoscopy and electromagnetic navigation. He has been honoured with numerous national and international awards and his work is published in more than 200 scientific papers. In addition to his medical achievements Professor Herth holds a degree in health economics and is one of the European Health Leaders.
Professor Herth is Head of Department of Pulmonary and Respiratory Critical Care Medicine at the Thoraxklinik, University of Heidelberg - one of the largest lung centres in Europe.
