Each year, the University Of Western Australia’s Postgraduate Students Association holds several careers breakfasts, aimed at providing current postgraduate students (many of whom are about to graduate) with the information they need to attain a career in what has become a very demanding job market.
The general format of the events involves a sit down continental breakfast. During the breakfast a key speaker will address the attendees. Following this, representatives and attendees will be given the chance to engage with one another on a more informal basis, over breakfast at the tables. We envisage having a semi-structured format in which employers will be asked to periodically swap tables so as to be able to meet as many postgraduates as possible.
