This masterclass is designed to expose participants to the changing racial-ethnic landscape in the United States of America in the post civil rights era, with a focus on the position of African-Americans. This session will discuss race theories, racial hierarchy, and the social construction of race, class, gender and culture. Particular attention will be paid to new manifestations of racism and the changing colour line through an examination of interracial dating patterns in the United States.
Cost: Free, but Registration is essential to attend.
