Dr Michelle Byrnes will be presenting her talk "My Mindful Journey: Neuroplasticity and Holistic Multidisciplinary Neurorehabilitation after Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury and Stuttering".
Dr Byrnes will present a summary of her 15 year journey from a career as a Postdoctural Neuroscientist to her current training and career in Multidisciplinary Research. Michelle is passionate about Neuroplasticity and Neurorehabilitation from a Holistic Biopsychosocial Perspective and her current research interests include the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) after Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury and Stuttering.
A light lunch will be provided at 12:30pm and the seminar will begin at 1:00pm.
