Through this course:
•You will learn a brief history of Chinese tea and be introduced to different varieties of tea.
•Through hands-on activities such as tea preparation, brewing and tasting, you will experience the healthy, artistic and sensational Chinese tea culture.
•Towards the end of the course, you will be able to host your own Chinese Tea Appreciation /Ceremony party at home to entertain friends and family.
Time: Monday, 6.30 – 8.30pm
Dates:
27th July; 3rd August, 10th August, 17th August and 24th August.
Course Fee: $330 (includes GST)
(Complimentary tea and tea cups included)
Course Instructor:
Ms Jieqi Zhang is currently with the WA Department of Education and Training teaching Chinese Mandarin and culture at Oberthur Primary School and Bateman Primary School. She also has broad experience teaching Chinese language and culture to various groups of adults and has taught in TAFE colleges in Perth. Ms Zhang has a great passion for Chinese tea culture. In 2005 she went to China to study Tea History, Tea Appreciation and Tea Ceremony. Ms Zhang has been invited to perform her Tea Ceremony at various Chinese and international culture events and has been very well received. She also hosts tea parties for birthdays and other functions.
