Scientific Applications of X-ray Tomography in Perth : Workshop that aims at bringing together people working with, or interested in the technique Other events...
X-ray tomography is well on its way to become a standard technique in many scientific disciplines. However, many aspects of the data acquisition systems, data management, visualisation and analysis are still developed. The event, to which all involved/interested are invited, shall bring together Perth-based researchers using X-ray tomography in various fields, data management people, experts for visualisation of tomographic data and their analysis. The idea is to get to know what 'the others' do, how they do it, where the limits are, etc. However, we would also like to network and possibly identify where we can combine efforts. The program of scheduled talks turned out to be quite diverse and will comprise a first overview on ongoing (geo)scientific applications of tomography, visualisation and quantification techniques as well as contributions on some available data acquisition systems. However, there will still be room for a few more talks, so if you are interested in presenting your project, please get in touch asap!
