PUBLIC LECTURE: The 2009 Western Australia Disability Collective Lecture

The Institute of Advanced Studies is pleased to announce that the Hon Bill Shorten, MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Disabilities and Children’s Services, will present the 2009 Western Australia Disability Collective Lecture. Mr Shorten will speak on the human rights and social justice aspects of the National Disability Strategy, particularly in light of Australia’s recent ratification of the International Convention on human rights and disability. This lecture is co-sponsored with the Western Australian Disability Collective, a local collective working for justice for people with a disability through education, action and community campaigns.
