A Day in the Life of an Astronomy Student is open to current Year 11 and 12 students in WA secondary schools. Students will have the opportunity to locate and view sunspots, to undertake various activities with a radio telescope and learn of the wonders of the Square Kilometer Array, the greatest earth based science project Australia & the world has ever embarked on! Students will also have the opportunity to see the view the spectacular Tesla Coil and participate in super cool experiments with Liquid Nitrogen and supermagnets.
Application forms will be sent to schools in term two.
