Geology of Egypt : Discover how Egypt’s geology has influenced its landscapes and civilization. |

A country’s landscapes, landforms and rocks and other geological materials have profound effects on its development. Like every civilization, Ancient Egypt was influenced by its environment. Find out about aspects of this (including visiting some well-known monuments), and about the development of the landscapes of Egypt, the easy way, in an illustrated talk designed for non-specialists. Afterwards see some of the samples collected by the author on a recent visit to Egypt, and perhaps have a look around UWA's Earth Science Museum. The event is free, but a small donation to the Museum is requested.
