The Obama Administration: What Might it Mean for Australia? A Free Public Forum Other events...
The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, one of America’s leading institutes for advanced study, is pleased to be honouring two of Australia’s most distinguished citizens, Kim Beazley and Janet Holmes a Court, as recipients of the prestigious Woodrow Wilson Award, in recognition of their many years of dedicated public service and corporate citizenship.

In conjunction with these Awards, the Wilson Center, in partnership with The University of Western Australia, will host a public forum on the morning of March 10, to ask: The Obama Administration: What Might It Mean for Australia?

Distinguished panellists from Australia and the United States will discuss and debate whether the ‘hope’ and ‘change’ Barack Obama has promised Americans will reach as far as Australia, and whether Australians have any stake in the inauguration of Obama as the 44th President of the United States.

This lecture is free and open to the public. RSVP requested by 5 March to the Institute of Advanced Studies: Tel +61 8 6488 1340 or Email [email protected]
