Confucius Institute - An Introduction to Traditional Chinese Painting 9 March - 6 April 2009 : A practical introductory course introducing various Chinese painting styles and techniques. Other events...
Learn about the tools and materials needed for Chinese painting including characteristics such as the absorbent nature of rice paper and different ways of using the brush (e.g. painting with the side of the brush, painting with the tip of the brush and centre of the brush). Develop basic skills in different styles of painting through watching demonstrations and hands-on exercises. Gain exposure to and understanding of some of the masters and classical painting texts of traditional and contemporary China.

Classes are held Monday nights from 6.30 - 8.30pm from 9th March - 6th April 2009.

Course Fee: $330 (includes GST)

Ink, paint, brushes and rice paper for use in class included in course fee.
