Friends of the Library talk : The Perth foreshore: village green or urban waterfront Other events...
Russell Kingdom will trace the history of the reclamation of the foreshore and touch on some of the ideas for major development. He will then go on to discuss possible reasons why these proposals have not been implemented, and why we need to fully understand the significance of the foreshore and plan and conserve accordingly. He will include some slides regarding Point Fraser; how the wetland works; why it is a successful project and how we can learn from it.
