Parsifal
Australian-born Simone Young is
internationally recognised as one
of the leading conductors of her
generation. Currently Music Director
of the Hamburg State Opera and
the Philharmonic State Orchestra
Hamburg, she has performed
on some of the world’s greatest
stages. In this very special Keyed
Up! concert performance, Simone
Young will be joined onstage by Alex
Soddy in a performance of Englebert
Humperdinck’s four-hands piano
arrangement of Richard Wagner’s
opera, Parsifal. With narration in
German and English, twelve short
movements are brought to life by
passages of text from the opera.
