Thanks to the generosity of the Vose family, the annual Vose Memorial Prize for Music provides the UWA School of Music with the opportunity to run an annual concerto competition, selecting one outstanding senior performance student each year for the prestigious Vose Prize. For the fi rst time in the history of the prize, this special concert performance will see the 2009 Vose winner and other selected outstanding fi nalists perform a movement of their chosen concerto live onstage with the UWA Orchestra, directed by Peter Moore. The evening will conclude with a performance in its entirety of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 by outstanding young piano talent Suzanna Hlinka.
