In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers from Southern California traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when they discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children were both the weapons and the victims.
For over 20 years, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) and the Government of Uganda (GoU) had been waging a war that left nearly two million innocent civilians caught in the middle.
The film, “Invisible Children: Rough Cut,” exposed the tragic realities of northern Uganda’s night commuters and child soldiers.
We hope you can join us to watch this powerful and educational film, which will be introduced by special guests from the Invisible Children organisation.
