PUBLIC TALK: Figuring it Out
David Dolan will lead an informal walk and talk through the exhibition 'Configured: Aspects of Western Australian figurative art', looking for shared and individual themes and ideas in the artists' work particularly related to the human figure, portraiture and suburbia. Audience participation in the discussion is encouraged. David Dolan has a palpable enthusiasm for the visual arts, and a broad experience in museum management and collection development. Since 1995, David Dolan has been Professor of Cultural Heritage at Curtin University.
'Configured: Aspects of contemporary Western Australian figurative art' is on display at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery from 28 June to 2 August. Admission is free.
