TRANSPORTS OF DELIGHT: VOCAL MUSIC OF THE RENAISSANCE : A UWA Extension Theme Dinner Other events...
Enjoy dinner in the University Club banquet hall while enjoying an evening of sensuous song and fine fare. A musical rollercoaster through the glorious refinement of the High Renaissance and the chromatic expressionism of the late 16th century. Feast upon the chansons, motets and of course the madrigals of composers such as Palestrina, Josquin, Byrd, Morley, Wilbye, Marenzio and Gesualdo, liberally illustrated with live musical examples from the four-part a capella ensemble, Prima Vera, and a strolling minstrel. From the strident to the sumptous, the weird to the wondeful, the sacred to the secular, the night will capture some of the most remarkable achievements in the history of Western music.

Seating will be café style, in tables of 8. Individuals and small groups are invited to select a table on the night , while groups of 5 or more may reserve their places at a table of 8 in advance by calling 08 6488 2433. Ticket price excludes drinks and a cash bar will be available.
