The inaugural Shanghai Film Festival is an initiative of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & Television, working with the Australia China Institute for Culture and the Arts (ACICA), and supported by the Shanghai Film Group Corporation.
In conjunction with the Festival's organisers (Director of ACICA Sheng Fang Liang and Manager Sue Tischler), the Confucius Institute at UWA is pleased to present a showing of the Festival's leading film "Master of Everything" at UWA Social Sciences Lecture Theatre on Saturday Feb 25th 2006 at 7.00pm.
The film's Director, Li Xin, and actress Ms Tao Hong, will be in Perth for the Festival, and have been invited to attend the showing and discuss the main themes of the film with the audience on this night.
No bookings are necessary, but tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis until all tickets are sold (maximum seating of 350). Tickets go on sale at 6.15pm, Sat 25th Feb, at the door.

STORYLINE: Mi Jihong, director of the cultural office in a beautiful small village, has a crush on the town administrator's daughter, Luhua. Luhua dreamed of being a film actress, so Mi Jihong tries his best to help her fulfill her dream by shooting a Kungfu film "Master of Everything" with all the villagers. This is a cute and humorous film as well as a touching love story.

TICKETS: $10 adults, $7 concession
