Frank Moorhouse: Freedom Sacrificed

The 2006 Bill Warnock Memorial Address

Are we sacrificing freedom in the fight for freedom? Frank Moorhouse, one of Australia’s leading writers, ask whether freedom of expression is possible in a national security regime where fear of terrorism leads to restrictive anti-terror laws that curtail free speech and civil liberties.

As an award-winning novelist, social commentator and renowned essayist, Frank Moorhouse engages in informed discussions of public affairs, exploring issues relevant to the heart of our society.

He has written 12 fiction and two non-fiction books. His most recent book is Martini: A Memoir.
