TALK: BREAKFAST BY THE BAY with Professor Barry Marshall
|
|
The University Club is delighted to welcome Professor Barry Marshall as our special guest speaker for the first Breakfast by the Bay event for 2006.
Professor Marshall was the joint recipient of the 2005 Nobel Prize for Medicine for the discovery of a bacterium that causes peptic ulcers. His bold research led to
a complete change in the treatment of the condition worldwide.
Professor Marshall is a Club Founder Member and UWA graduate who continues to conduct his research and
run a molecular biology lab at the University.
Join us for breakfast as he reflects on his extraordinary medical findings, his well-publicised, self-administered medical experiment and the acceptance of one of the
world’s most prestigious awards.
Members $25 / Guests $40
PLEASE NOTE: The University Club is a Members-only facility, although Members are welcome to attend with guests.
