Denial of Rights : The Bahá’í students in Iran are denied access to higher education |

The Bahá’í students in Iran have again been denied access to higher education, continuing a pattern of religious persecution that has excluded the Bahá’ís of Iran from universities and colleges for a quarter of a century. This action is a major part of the Iranian government's effort to suppress the Bahá’ís of Iran by demoralising, impoverishing and ultimately seeking to suffocate this valiant community.
The Australian Bahá’í community, together with other Bahá’í communities around the world, is seeking to publicise this situation within the tertiary education sector, with the hope that academics, university administrators and others will be moved to speak out on behalf of the Bahá’ís, to pass resolutions, write letters of protest, and otherwise act to support the rights of the beleaguered Bahá’ís of Iran.
In support of this initiative, UWA Bahá’í staff and students invite you to a seminar to further discuss this unacceptable situation.
