PUBLIC TALK: Abstract Painting

Abstract painting can be considered on a number of fronts, and in her talk Penny Bovell seeks to map and interpret ideas associated with Abstraction by merging history, theory and practice. Penny Bovell is an artist and lecturer of visual arts in the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts at the University of Western Australia.
This talk is in relation to 'John Peart Paintings 1964-2005' on display at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery from 13 November to 13 December 2005. This is the sole Western Australian venue for this nationally touring exhibition.
