DR KARL KRUSZELNICKI: GREAT MOMENTS IN THE FUTURE : A UWA Extension Public Lecture Other events...
Join Dr Karl for a thoroughly entertaining exploration of our future. Karl will cover the importance of beer, the creativity of engineering, how Physics will get us to the distant stars, how most of us will become virtually immortal and why it's safer for a cat to fall from 80 stories than from 7 stories. Julius Sumner Miller Fellow at the University of Sydney, Karl Kruszelnicki used to be a 'proper pukka scientist, engineer and doctor', but is currently a popular author and science commentator on radio and television. Dr Karl's national science talkback show on Triple J attracts up to 300,000 listeners (about 1.5% of the Australian population) each week and sometimes 'crashes' the ABC switchboard when the number of incoming calls reaches 7000 per 15 minute window. Don't miss this great opportunity to catch Dr Karl in Perth.
