SEMINAR: Australian-African Relations

The African Studies Centre of Western Australia (ASCWA) and the Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) at the University of Western Australia will host the Heads of Australia's Diplomatic Missions in six African countries at UWA's Crawley campus on Friday 9 September. In this seminar, the Heads of Mission will discuss contemporary issues relating to Australian-African relations.

The speakers include:

•Philip Green, High Commissioner to South Africa

•Jon Shephard, Ambassador to Zimbabwe

•Jon Richardson, High Commissioner to Ghana

•George Atkin, High Commissioner to Kenya

•Iain Dickie, High Commissioner to Nigeria

•Ian McConville, High Commissioner to Mauritius

This is an excellent opportunity to hear Australia's most senior representatives in Africa discuss contemporary issues relating to Australian-African relations. After brief introductory presentations by the Ambassador to Zimbabwe and the High Commissioner to Nigeria, all the Heads of Mission will take questions from the floor.
