A free public lecture by Mr Daniel Griswold, Director, Centre for Trade Policy Studies at CATO Institute, Washington, USA. Mr Griswold is an expert on trade issues, including bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.

Inaugural event hosted by the Confucius Institute at The University of Western Australia in conjunction with the US Consulate-General.

"The Confucius Institute seeks to become a world-class centre for coordinating, facilitating and enhancing China-related activities into the 21st Century. It will play a significant role in strengthening understanding, opportunities and bonds between Western Australia and the People's Republic of China." - Professor Alan Robson, Vice-Chancellor, UWA.
