The Friends of the Lawence Wilson Art Gallery are holding a fund-raising art auction on Saturday 23 July at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery. Works by well-known artists have been donated for the auction, and reserve prices will encourage buyers for what promises to be an entertaining evening, with renowned art auctioneer Andrew Gaynor wielding the hammer. There wil be works by artists including Guy Grey-Smith (serigraph), Joan Campbell (sculptured sphere), and an early Western Australian engraving (1826, French expedition). Preview of works and refreshments will be available at the gallery from 6 pm; the auction will commence at 7.30pm.
