PUBLIC TALK: A partial view: Australian art in the UWA Art Collection
Art collections are organic entities, never complete and always partial, a result of strongly held beliefs about art, society and culture, and reflecting the changing economic and artistic climate. The UWA Art Collection has grown since the late 1920s to be one of the premier public collections in the state, and in this talk John Barrett-Lennard, Director of the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, outlines some of that history.
This talk is in relation to 'A partial view: Australian art in the UWA Art Collection' currently on display at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery.
