JANE AUSTEN: HER LIFE AND WORKS
The six most polished, controlled andd elegant social comedies to be found in English literature were written by a woman whose personal life was unexciting and confined. JOHN GALSWORTHY AND THE FORSYTE SAGA
In his characters of the Forsytes, John Galsworthy mirrored both his own family and Victorian and Edwardian conventions and manners. Galsworthy was also a rebel who satirised his society and an ardent social campaigner. Explore Galsworthy's life and the woman who inspired Irene Forsyte and analyse the enduring popularity of the Forsyte novels.

THOMAS HARDY AND HIS WORKS
