An all-day seminar co-presented by The John Curtin Institute of Public Policy, Curtin University of Technology and The Institute of Advanced Studies, The University of Western Australia
The objective of this seminar is to undertake a critical but constructive examination of emerging strategic directions in Commonwealth higher education policy. The seminar format will consist of a series of 30 minute presentations, followed by 30 minute discussion sessions.
Session presenters include:
·Ms Lois Sparkes, Branch Manager, Quality, Equity and Collaboration Branch, Higher Education Group, DEST;
·Mr Tim Shanahan, Chief Executive, WA Chamber of Minerals and Energy;
·Professor Greg Craven, Executive Director of the John Curtin Institute of Public Policy;
·Professor Simon Marginson, Australian Professorial Fellow at Monash University and Director of the Monash Centre for Research in International Education;
·Mr Andrew Norton, Research Fellow at The Centre for Independent Studies and Director of the CIS' Liberalising Learning research programme.
Seminar Cost: $50.00, includes lunch and morning/afternoon teas.
