The University Music Society 2005 Season commences this Thursday at 7.30pm in the Octagon Theatre.
The concert opens with the premiere of Roger Smalley's "Three Studies in Black and White", commissioned and performed by pianist Emily Green-Armytage.
Acclaimed West Australian mezzo Fiona Campbell makes a welcome return to the Music Society to perform Mozart lieder and Britten's "A Charm of Lullabies".
The evening concludes with Beethoven's colourful and brilliant Septet in E flat, performed by School of Music staff, special guests and members of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
Subscriptions to the 2005 season are still available from the School of Music. Single night tickets are available from BOCS Outlets 9484 1133 or the Octagon Theatre 6488 2440.
