CONCERT: Handel's Messiah
Hear the splendor of Handel’s Messiah performed by the one hundred-voice University of Western Australia Choral Society and chamber orchestra on Sunday 19 December, 6.30pm, in Winthrop Hall, UWA.
Messiah is surely the most popular oratorio ever to be performed and for many, no Christmas is complete without the seasonal performance.
Soloists for this baroque classic are fine young talent from The Australian Opera Studio: Anita Watson, Illeana Bodnaras, Donald Cullen and David Thelander. The performance will be conducted by John Beaverstock. Tickets are available from the Octagon Theatre, UWA (6488 2440) or at the door - $28 and $25 (cons).
