The Curator, Trish FitzSimons, film maker and academic, will speak about the exhibition
Land, Water, and the human relation to land and water is one of the key issues facing Australians today. Channels of History is a social history exhibition about the women, land and history of the Channel Country of central Australia that offers a fresh perspective on these issues.
Channels of History consists of elements of an art installation, alongside text and image panels, an interactive documentary component, and a writing desk where the public can both find out more about additional sources on the Channel Country and themselves participate in the task of historical writing and research.
Channels of History is about women making history in both senses of the word. Their stories beg to be heard, understood and added to.
The exhibition will continue until 29 June
