Buying Art From 'Other' Cultures Other events...
Chris Hill has been collecting art for many years, and is a major lender to 'Threading Cultures: Balinese Art and Indonesian Textiles in Western Australian Collections' currently on display at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery. Based on his postgraduate research, Chris's book on three generations of Balinese painters, is scheduled for publication by the ANU in 2005. Through his work on Balinese art, and through previous research, he explores theoretical issues related to the nature of art and how it is perceived.
