Aaron Copland: "Fanfare for the Common Man", Samuel Barber: Violin Concerto Op14, Antonin Dvorak: Symphony No9 in E minor "From the New World"
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of the great Czech composer, Antonin Dvorak, University Orchestra celebrates his rich romanticism and haunting melodies with a performance of the majestic and moving "New World" Symphony. Also featured are works by two of America’s finest composers: Samuel Barber’s poetic and lyrical Violin Concerto, performed by UWA Music's own Paul Wright, and Aaron Copland’s stirring "Fanfare for the Common Man".
