Five UWA Press books shortlisted in WA Premier's Book Awards Other events...
The Shortlist for the 2003 Western Australian Premier's Book Awards has been announced by the Minister for Culture and the Arts, Sheila McHale. UWA Press is delighted to announce that five of our publications have been included in the list of 24 books & scripts shortlisted across six categories, selected from a total of 115 entries.

The shortlisted UWA Press publications are: James Stirling: Admiral and Founding Governor of Western Australia by Pamela Statham-Drew, Old Fremantle by John Dowson, City of Light: A History of Perth Since the 1950s by Jenny Gregory (published by the City of Perth/distibuted by UWA Press), The Legend of Lasseter's Reef by Mark Greenwood and Grandpa's Gate by Liliana Stafford (illustrations by Susy Boyer).

All UWA Press titles are available now from the Co-op Bookshop or the Visitors' Information Centre on Campus or from UWA Press (cnr Mounts Bay Road and Crawly Avenue, telephone 6488 3670).
Speaker(s) The WA Premier's Book Awards will be presented by the Premier.
Location The awards ceremony will be held at a dinner fuction at the State Library of Western Australia on Friday 4 June 2004.
