HERODOTUS IN ANCIENT EGYPT : A UWA Extension Course Other events...
Herodotus: pioneering traveller or armchair theorist? Sceptics doubt that Herodotus ever saw the countries that he claimed to have visited, yet many Egyptologists regard him as an eyewitness of ancient Egypt. Combining Egyptology, anthropology and Classics, historical detective work examines this mystery, using Egyptian lifeways and death customs as evidence.
