To recognise the end of the commemoration of ANZAC, UWA Albany and the City of Albany have invited Dr Andrew Webster to share his knowledge on the significance of this event.
Dr Andrew Webster is an historian of the politics, diplomacy and international relations of modern Europe, with a particular interest in the period between the two world wars. His research has centred around the linked themes of Anglo-French-German relations, the problem of international disarmament, and the rise and fall of the League of Nations. His current research project traces the history of the international disarmament process from the first Hague peace conference of 1899 to the end of the Second World War in 1945.
