Looking for something different to do in the mid-year break? UWA's Anglican Chaplaincy is offering a five day retreat for students at Koora Desert Retreat, at the edge of the Boorabbin National Park, about 470km East of Perth. There is comfortable but basic accommodation and a relaxed opportunity for gentle walks and time alone. This is a remote location with no access to shops. It will suit people looking for a quiet experience in the company of others.
Native wildlife; sit around the camp fire; brilliant night skies. May be of particular interest to overseas students. Numbers are limited. Cost is $370 all inclusive.
This is not a 'religious' event but has an implicit 'contemplative' spirituality of attentiveness to silence and landscape.
Contact Michael Wood for more information and registration details.
