SEMINAR: Introduction to the Deep History of Sea Country project
|
|
For most of the last 65,000 years of human
occupation, sea level has been lower than
present but we know very little about this
submerged landscape. This project links with
ongoing work in the Dampier Archipelago,
and uses cutting edge marine and aerial
survey techniques to identify potential marine
sites in this region. Work to date however -
and the focus of this talk - largely
concentrates on developing methods of
recording and analysis from one of the
world’s rare submarine midden sites in
Denmark.
